Prasad Rao Pandyar Guru is a seasoned financial executive with over 19 years of experience managing key accounting and finance functions. He is well-versed in providing management, strategic, and operational guidance in support of long-term business objectives. Guru Pandyar’s broad skillset includes expertise in AP, AR, payroll, billing, financial planning, internal reporting, cash flow projections, and long-range forecasting. Guru Pandyar is originally from Hyderabad, India. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Nrupatunga Degree College, and a Masters in Business Administration With specialization in International & Corporate Finance Management from the National Institute of Management. In 1997, he took a position as an CA Articles Associate for MGRK Associates in Hyderabad, where he was responsible for leading and assisting teams on statutory and internal audit engagements to review and consolidate financial statements in compliance with Indian corporate and tax laws and Indian GAAP.
In 1999, Prasad Rao Pandyar Guru began working for Prithvi, a company based in India. Once he had completed his articleship, he began working for them as an accountant full-time. He was able to grow with the company, moving up to Assistant Manager, then Manager, then Senior Manager in Finance and Accounts and finally Assistant Vice President (Finance and Accounts) – Americas.
In 2007, the company was rapidly growing and Guru Pandyar was moved to the United States. During this time, they acquired several companies and launched operations in Brazil and Canada, as well as a joint venture with a SaaS company. Guru Pandyar was promoted to leader of both North and South America, in which capacity he was responsible for all the accounting administration and operations, reporting back directly to management in India. He handled all financial health reports for the company’s performance in the Americas.
Guru Pandyar left Prithvi in 2014, and began working as an independent consultant for startups and other small businesses in the IT, staffing, SaaS, and telecommunications engineering sectors. He advises companies on streamlining operations, setting up HR policies, and many more aspects of strategic growth. He strives to continually learn new things and meet new people, in and outside of work. His intercultural expertise has allowed him to gain a more complex understanding of people’s behaviors and perceptions, and this knowledge has helped him to establish himself as a trusted leader and advisor.
